Ebyan Abshir

Legal Fellow and Human Rights Storyteller

Ebyan Abshir completed her Bachelor of Art in Africana Studies at Union College in New York in June 2024. She is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor in Boston, Massachusetts and will be attending Northeastern University School of Law in Boston. She was previously a Thomas J. Watson Fellow at the Watson Foundation, pursuing an independent research project focused on the preservation of collective memory across six countries for the 2024-25 year. Ebyan is interested in global transitional and restorative justice efforts in post-conflict societies, and has documented various memorialisation efforts among civil society groups and national governments throughout her travels. Ebyan speaks English and Spanish.
