Jess Rodenhiser is a US-licensed attorney with a strong background in human rights law, refugee law, and litigation strategy. She holds a Juris Doctorate from New England Law | Boston and is currently completing an LL.M. at Europa-Universität Viadrina, specializing in human rights and humanitarian law.
Jessica has extensive experience in immigration litigation and appellate advocacy, having represented asylum seekers and individuals in removal proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review. As Head of Appellate Litigation, she led litigation strategy, trained attorneys on complex asylum and humanitarian relief cases, and oversaw teams handling waivers and appeals. When the US withdrew from Afghanistan, she played a key role in firm-wide efforts to assist Afghan refugees, training legal teams and coordinating large-scale humanitarian parole and asylum applications.
Beyond immigration law, Jessica has engaged in legal research and advocacy on international human rights issues, contributing to reports for the United Nations on corporate accountability under human rights frameworks. She previously served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice, advising on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and drafting decisions for immigration judges.
Currently based in Berlin, Jessica is a Commercial Legal Counsel, where she focuses on AI governance, compliance, and intellectual property. She is involved in shaping internal AI policies to align with emerging regulatory frameworks and ethical considerations in technology. She remains deeply committed to human rights advocacy, with a particular focus on refugee rights, international justice, and the intersection of law and emerging technologies
