Your tasks

Working with the management team, you will be responsible for the implementation of the project ‘DigiSafe JA’.’ DigiSafe JA is a DSEE-funded project that aims to modernise our IT systems, protect our activities and ensure secure and confidential internal communications.  In this way, your work on the DigiSafe JA project will help us to be even more effective in our mission to defend human rights.  You will:

  • design and implement secure systems for internal communication and collaboration, including access management systems (e.g. Okta);
  • advise on the selection of IT hardware and services;
  • manage employee IT devices;
  • proactively identify and remediate IT vulnerabilities;
  • allocate and account for the project budget in conjunction with the Head of Projects and Head of Administration.

 

Your profile

We are seeking a competent and professional IT specialist who is passionate about the mission and activities of Just Access e.V..

Job requirements:

  • Professional experience and/or training in IT systems management and IT security;
  • Hands-on experience in implementing identity and access management systems (e.g. Okta);
  • Project management experience;
  • Organisational skills, initiative and independent, solution-oriented work;
  • A commitment to the values and mission of Just Access e.V;
  • Strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (knowledge of German and other languages is an advantage).

Advantageous:

  • Experience in training team members in the use of new IT systems (hardware and software);
  • Residence in/near Heidelberg – presence in the Heidelberg office (close to the main railway station) is required one day per week.

Please note that there is no visa sponsorship available for this role. Eligibility to work in the EU is a must.
