Zinovia Verikokidi holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Maastricht University and is now advancing her education as an LLM candidate in Trade and Investment Law at the University of Amsterdam. Her bachelor’s thesis explored women’s abortion rights, while her master’s thesis assesses the impact of trade sanctions and their WTO compliance following the coup d’état in Myanmar. Professionally, Zinovia has garnered experience as a paralegal, with a focus on Intellectual Property Law. Additionally, she has served at the NATO Office Information Centre, where her efforts were directed towards promoting Moldova’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Beyond her professional pursuits, Zinovia is an animal rights activist and is committed to animal welfare. She is the founder of Saving Moldova’s Forgotten Animals NGO, an organization dedicated to rescuing animals and facilitating their adoption both nationally and internationally. In her social commitments, Zinovia has volunteered for multiple NGOs, including Little People Romania, War Child, and ALGA.
