Volunteer Position: Pedagogical Advisor

Are you passionate about education, human rights, and making a meaningful impact? Just Access, a registered German charity (gemeinnützigen Verein) dedicated to supporting human rights and access to justice worldwide, is seeking a Volunteer Pedagogical Advisor to join our team.

About the Role: As a Pedagogical Advisor, you will play a crucial role in shaping our educational programs and materials. This position is ideal for current or retired teachers, or individuals with equivalent experience, who have a deep understanding of pedagogy and a commitment to opening minds through education.

Location: Hybrid at our office in Heidelberg, Germany, and remote

Time Commitment: Approximately 5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on pedagogical content and materials
  • Preparing teaching materials for different age groups, including school-age and adult/independent learners
  • Advising on pitching educational messages effectively for different age groups
  • Delivering outreach sessions in schools (in English and German)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in teaching or educational advising
  • Strong understanding of pedagogical principles

  • A true passion for teaching and communicating with children and others
