Daren is a security consultant with 17 years experience helping organisations around the world keep themselves safe by implementing information security, physical security, privacy and business continuity. Daren has worked for global organisations in the UK including the Big Four consultancies and has been deployed to 23 countries worldwide. He has been helping Just Access e.V. pro bono as Head of Information Security since April 2024.

Daren is also a former Director on the Board of Amnesty International UK where he was the technology subject matter expert on the board. Since 2016, Daren has been campaigning with the families of individuals held hostage or unjustly detained abroad to bring their loved ones home. His work on state-sponsored hostage-taking also known as hostage diplomacy has been cited in reports published by the UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee and the US Congressional-Executive Commission on China. Daren has been interviewed/quoted by news outlets worldwide including The Times of London, Reuters, Agence France-Presse, Deutschlandfunk, The Daily Beast, Haaretz as well as Australia’s ABC Radio National.
