A picture says a thousand words, or so they say. In human rights activism, it may be even more true! Pictures are amazingly powerful. They connect us. They help us to experience places we’ve never seen, and empathise with people we’ve never met.
Your pictures can help us to tell incredible stories from all around the world, about the hardship and deprivation that people suffer every day, and the incredible generosity, solidarity and love which responds to it.
Enter the 2024 Photo Competition!
The Just Access photo competition 2024 is looking for talented photographers, who have captured the best images on the subject of human rights!
Do you have an inspiring picture from a protest, and shot of solidarity, or a picture showing the true cost of the lack of human rights?
Then we’re looking for you!

You can enter as many times as you like, but please only include one entry per post.
What are the rules?
Of course, every competition has its rules. Please bear the following in mind:
©️Make sure the submission is your own work, and that you hold the copyright to any image you submit.
🚫 No AI. Please don’t use any AI-generated or AI-modified images. Submissions which use AI will be considered invalid.
🔞 Keep it clean. Don’t submit any sensitive content.
👥 If your image is a portrait of an individual, make sure you’ve asked their permission to share it.
🦺 Stay safe! Be aware of your surroundings, and don’t put yourself in a position of danger.
What Can I Win?
Twelve winners will be selected to feature in the Just Access 2025 Calendar!
If you are selected to be included in the calendar, you’ll be asked to grant Just Access a non-exclusive license to use and reproduce the image, but you’ll retain your full copyright as creator.
In addition, the twelve winners and selected runners-up will receive a Just Access goody-bag!
